Composition Aids

Composition aids are visual overlays on the live view that help you frame your shots. They appear on your iPhone screen only and do not affect the captured image.

  1. Aspect Ratio Guides — preview different crop ratios
  2. Grid Overlays — rule of thirds, golden ratio, and other grids
  3. Image Overlays — load a custom reference image
Composition aids are accessible from the composition tools menu (nested rectangles) - 4th icon in the controls row. If controls are not visible, tap the arrow button next to exposure settings.
