Unable to Join the Network

This error appears when iOS fails to join your camera’s Wi-Fi network.

Fixes

  1. Tap “Try Again.” This often resolves the issue on the second attempt.
  2. Make sure the camera is ready. The camera must be in its “Waiting to connect” state, actively broadcasting Wi-Fi. If you waited too long, the camera may have timed out — restart its Wi-Fi.
  3. Try joining manually. Go to iOS Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to the camera’s network directly. Then return to Shutter.
  4. Forget and reconnect. In iOS Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the info button next to the camera’s network and select “Forget This Network.” Then try connecting from Shutter again.
  5. Check camera settings. Some cameras have an “Always Connected” or similar setting that keeps Wi-Fi active. Enable it if available.
