Sony: RAW Format Not Matching Camera Settings

Photos taken remotely are in a different format than what’s set on the camera body (for example, expect RAW images but remote shots are JPEG).

Affected cameras display a warning the first time you connect with them.

Cause

Sony cameras with “Smart Remote Control” app use a separate settings bank for remote shooting mode. The file format for remote shooting is independent of what’s configured on the camera body.

This is camera firmware behavior, not a Shutter issue.

Fix

After connecting, check and adjust the file format in the camera MENU.
